A Global Change Agent

Kevin Sheehan moves with the job. He grew up in New York, New York, and spent much of his personal and professional life there, helping to start Telemundo, launching Sega, working for a variety of jobs for Cendant, and serving as a management consultant for several private equity firms. He also has homes in Las Vegas, NV, and Miami, FL, which keep him connected to the gaming and hospitality business.

A Native of New York — The Start of Sheehan’s Career

Sheehan, a born New Yorker, started off his career as a cab driver to help fund his college degree, until he worked his way up the corporate ladder by eventually landing a job at one of the Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte. He later joined Reliance Group Holdings, where he worked for top-notch financiers, including Henry Silverman, Michael Milken, and Saul Steinberg. Offered an amazing opportunity, Kevin Sheehan treaded new territory launching Telemundo Group. Here, he was a member of the core team that would build the footprint of this mega corporation by working on concept development, production capabilities, and propelling commercial and consumer demand.

Sheehan’s career in New York did not come to an end as he moved on to serve as President and CFO of Sega Channel, where he was tasked with the significant weight of launching and creating the company.

When Avis Group was acquired by Cendant Corporation, Sheehan was enlisted to take over as Chief Financial Officer following a disastrous accounting fraud that plagued the company. His main objective was to reestablish Cendant’s credible reputation and put the fraud issue behind them. He was appointed Chairman and CEO of Cendant Corporation Vehicle Services from 2003 to 2005, where each of his businesses achieved record results during his tenure. One of his greatest achievements at Cendant includes the completion of a 100% IPO of Wright Express, which occurred at a multiple of over thirty times the acquisition cost. Additionally, he propelled each business unit to achieving meaningful organic revenue growth, EBITDA growth and margin improvement.
